I see many people do not fully understand the recent changes to Binance's alpha rules, and some inexplicable optimistic statements have emerged. Let me provide a simple analysis.

1. It does indeed increase the consumption of points to a certain extent, but this consumption is only targeted at low-score users. In other words, it does not adjust the threshold for airdrop participation in the short term. This point consumption will need to be reflected in the lowering of the threshold and will require multiple 15-day cycles, which does not provide much help for the current situation.

2. The only good news is that the number of airdrop claims in the first phase and the second phase should be the same, just that the claim threshold has been lowered. However, it can be imagined that high-quality large airdrops will definitely be claimed in the first phase, leaving little for the second phase. Those who can claim in the second phase will either be very few and hard to grab or will be of little value.

Overall, this change has not fundamentally altered the existing alpha distribution mechanism; it has merely given the leftover scraps, which high-score users do not want, to low-score users.

At this point, ordinary retail investors find themselves in a dilemma. Originally, even brushing for a cycle wouldn't reach the threshold, and since it's destined to be a loss, one might as well quit decisively.

However, with the introduction of a new way to recoup costs, everyone is again caught in a dilemma.

Continue brushing — spending time and energy, the received airdrops barely compensate for the wear and tear, struggling to earn a few hard-earned dollars at the break-even line.

Not brushing — losing opportunities and possibilities, worrying about missing out on a big unexpected gain, and fearing the loss of new advantageous changes.

The play of brushing volume — earning points — deducting points to claim airdrops is becoming increasingly difficult as the number of participants grows, but the rewards available for distribution cannot keep up with the increase in users. The positive feedback has already become very poor, losing the original meaning of this playstyle. Without reconstructing from the fundamental design, it will only get worse.
