Yes, Tata Group has announced a compensation of ₹1 crore (approximately €118,000) for each family of the victims of the tragic Air India Flight 171 crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025. The crash resulted in the deaths of 241 individuals on board, including 53 British nationals, and additional casualties on the ground.
In addition to the financial compensation, Tata Group has pledged to cover the medical expenses of those injured in the incident and support the reconstruction of the BJ Medical College hostel, which was severely damaged during the crash.
Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones, and with those who have been injured."
