Is playing in the crypto world for making money or for fun?

If you only aim to cater to others, you might as well go back to a state-owned enterprise, find a job, and serve your boss well; the achievements might be greater.

In 2023, I started writing articles just to record my thoughts on airdrops. I often revisit these memories; they are quite interesting.

While walking, I often recall the joy of everyone rushing into Layerzero and Zksync together, with various major projects being teased and funny videos shared on Twitter every day.

At that time, many KOLs would tease the project parties and founders. I remember Benlin Baofucheng made a video of an Indian brother charging for motorcycles on a wooden bridge, arguing with a fat penguin.

There was also a brother who made a video about L0's Xiaomage. I waited three years just for an opportunity—not to prove how amazing I am, but to tell others that I will definitely get back what I lost.

And there was that video of the L0 football coach, where a fat player crawled on the field blindfolded, completing 100 transactions on the mainnet; it was truly exciting.

I still have those videos saved on my computer, and when I go back to watch them, I can’t help but tear up; that was our youth.

Back then, you wouldn’t get cursed by witches for criticizing a project, nor would you receive rewards for praising it. The X of 2023 was very pure; it was all about joy. Everyone enjoyed chatting, playing, and making friends without watering them down.

Later, it gradually changed. Praising the project parties would earn rewards, like Eigenlayer, Sanctum, but there were no penalties for criticizing them.

Now, you can't dare to criticize project parties anymore because as long as you want to make money, all data will be recorded. The whole network has turned into a praise group, with countless bots created specifically to flatter.

Everyone comes to the crypto world for making money, which is understandable, but it really lacks a lot of joy, and many people only look at WeChat groups now.

Today, I saw that the project party's gold badge was banned, and I felt nostalgic, so I wrote some nonsense.

I still miss the time when I could be myself, making friends with everyone; that was real happiness.

I hope we can all maintain our individuality and independence.

Independent thinking, independent living, being ourselves.
