It's been 1000 days since the Ethereum Merge, when mainnet transitioned from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoW).

PoW transparently allowed anyone in the world to get skin in the game early by contributing computing resources instead of buying coins and PoS greatly expanded the number of people who could secure the network and earn rewards.

PoW -> PoS is ideal for credible neutrality.
