#TrumpTariffs Trump's tariffs may remain in effect for now, but the appeals court speeds up a resolution this summer.
President Donald Trump's higher tariffs have so far overcome a judicial hurdle, after a federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that they could take effect while legal challenges are resolved. However, the appeals court expedited the processing of tariff cases for resolution this summer.
The decision came after the Trump administration appealed the ruling of the International Trade Court, which determined that the president exceeded his authority to impose tariffs nationwide by claiming a national emergency.
