#Solayer无限硬件加速

At nine in the morning, the coffee shop downstairs in the office building is always in chaos. I, a corporate worker who relies on iced Americanos to survive, fear two things the most: waiting in line and the spinning wheel of doom when scanning for payment. Last Wednesday, my phone unexpectedly froze while I was scanning! I heard impatient coughs from the queue behind me, and I awkwardly dug my toes into the ground... That afternoon, while scrolling through Twitter, I saw someone discussing Solayer's Emerald Card.It processes payments quickly, which piqued my interest.

Why try the Emerald Card? The reason is simple:

1. I want to buy coffee quickly and have had enough of the social death moments caused by payment delays.

2. USDC just sits there. I heard that when deposited, it automatically converts to sUSD and earns some interest (annualized 4%), backed by US Treasury bonds, which sounds better than just staring at it in an exchange wallet? Might as well give it a try; it's not a hassle.

Actual experience: I just wanted an iced Americano...

I linked it to Apple Pay and headed straight to the coffee shop the next day. Order, show phone, tap to pay— “beep” and done! It was so quick that I barely even saw the screen. When the barista handed me my iced Americano, I was still a bit dazed: Is that it? No spinning? No failure? Later, I tried it a few more times at convenience stores and fast food places, and every time it was as quick as swiping a regular transit card. This smooth experience cured my scanning PTSD.

Sipping on an iced Americano, lost in thought:

While waiting in line for coffee, I came across Solayer hosting the SVM Summit in New York, launching InfiniSVM Devnet, aiming for >1M TPS and “unlimited hardware acceleration.” The technical terms look daunting, but thinking about the smooth card swiping:

“A million TPS” probably means that even if everyone in the office building uses the Emerald Card to buy coffee, the system won’t crash, get stuck, or be expensive?

“Hardware acceleration” might be like the booster pump of a coffee machine, using dedicated hardware to process transactions, which is much faster and more stable than relying purely on software 'manual brewing'?

“Unlimited scalability” means that even if there are more features in the future (like sUSD cross-chain to Base, high yield SOL staking, or another round of Emerald Reward Drops), it won’t slow down my iced Americano purchase speed?

Personal thoughts:

The Solayer-promoted Solayer unlimited hardware acceleration, for an average user like me, the technology itself isn’t important; what matters is what problem it solves. Its pursuit of “speed” and “stability” ultimately means that when I buy an iced Americano or check out at the supermarket, I can complete the payment without feeling it, just like using cash, right? It’s about letting sUSD earn interest and claiming airdrops without causing me any hassle, with the technology quietly handling the pressure in the background, allowing my front-end life (like enjoying an iced Americano without queuing) to proceed smoothly—this is the true value of “unlimited acceleration” for me. Can it achieve a million TPS? We shall see. But at least for now, buying coffee with it is indeed fast.
