⚖️ Walt Disney and Universal have filed a lawsuit in federal court in Los Angeles against Midjourney, accusing the company of using intellectual property without permission.
The plaintiffs describe the popular AI image generator as a "bottomless pit of plagiarism."
It is noted that the studios approached Midjourney demanding to stop using protected works or at least to implement technical restrictions on character generation. Instead, the company continued to release new versions of the generator.
