#TradingPairs101 A trading pair, also known as a currency pair, represents the exchange relationship between two financial assets that are traded against each other. It is generally used in the foreign exchange market (Forex), but it also applies to other markets such as cryptocurrencies. The quote of the pair reflects the amount of one asset (the quoted asset) needed to purchase one unit of the other asset (the base asset). For example, in the EUR/USD pair, the euro (EUR) is the base asset and the US dollar (USD) is the quoted asset; the quote indicates how many dollars are needed to buy one euro.
