How to get started in crypto without losing your mind (or your money) 🚀

The first step is not to buy, but to learn.

Save this guide, share it with anyone who needs it, and start off on the right foot in the crypto world.

1️⃣ Educate yourself before hitting the “Buy” button

Read the basics: blockchain, wallets, what Bitcoin is and why it exists.

Quick sources: Binance Academy, summarized whitepapers, and serious YouTube/podcast channels.

Golden rule: understand what you are investing in; if you can't explain it in two lines, you are not ready yet.

2️⃣ Security first, profits later 🔐

Enable 2FA (Google Authenticator or Authy).

Use a unique and long password; no “Pao123”.

Consider a hardware wallet for long-term holding.

Be wary of “easy money”: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

3️⃣ Start small and with a plan 📈

Invest only what you are willing to lose (1-5% rule of your total capital).

Try DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging): regular and consistent purchases reduce the stress of “Should I buy today or tomorrow?”.

4️⃣ Diversify (but don’t get scattered) 🧺

Don’t put everything in one coin.

An initial balanced portfolio could be: 60% BTC, 30% ETH, 10% a couple of altcoins you understand well.

Avoid having more than 5-6 projects at the beginning; less is more when you are learning.

5️⃣ Emotional control = key to not “losing your mind” 🧘🏻‍♀️

The market is volatile; drops of 20% in a day are normal.

Don’t check the price every 5 minutes.

Have a clear goal: saving long-term, active trading, or learning about the technology?

6️⃣ Keep records 📑

Save screenshots of your purchases/sales.

Use an Excel sheet or tracking app; your future self (or accountant) will thank you.

Inform yourself about local regulations (in Bolivia they are evolving; it’s better to be ahead).

💬 Ask the community:

What was the first thing that confused you when you entered the crypto world and how did you resolve it?
