🚨 I Got Scammed Out of $4,000 on P2P — Learn From My Mistake 💸
It’s not easy to admit this publicly, but if sharing my experience can help even one person avoid the same trap, it’ll be worth it.
A while back, I listed some USDT for sale via P2P. The buyer who reached out seemed totally reliable — 97% order completion, tons of positive reviews, and a seemingly flawless track record. On paper, this was a perfect trade. ✅
He sent over a payment receipt with all the right details — transaction ID included. Everything looked legit. So, without double-checking, I hit “Confirm Receipt” on the platform.
And that’s where it all went wrong.
⏳ Minutes turned into hours. Still no payment.
When I checked with my bank, they confirmed there was no incoming transfer. I contacted Binance support, but since I had already confirmed the transaction, there wasn’t much they could do. 😓
I tried reaching out to the buyer again — but I was blocked. Just like that, the person vanished. Gone. 👻
🔍 What I Did Wrong:
Confirmed the transaction before the funds actually arrived in my account.
Trusted a screenshot — which can be easily faked in minutes.
Ignored my gut feeling because I was in a hurry to close the trade.
✅ What You Should Do Instead:
1. Never confirm payment until you personally verify the funds in your account. No exceptions.
2. Do NOT trust screenshots — only rely on your bank’s confirmation or official SMS/email alerts.
3. If a buyer is trying to rush you, take it as a serious red flag. Scammers love pressure tactics.
I lost $4,000 because I tried to save a few minutes.
Please don’t make the same mistake.
Be patient. Be cautious.
Because in the world of P2P, one careless click can cost you everything.
