According to Bloomberg, Stripe announced the acquisition of the crypto wallet provider Privy, with the transaction amount undisclosed. Privy primarily provides wallet integration services for enterprises and has provided technical support for platforms such as OpenSea. Previously, Stripe completed an $1.1 billion acquisition of the stablecoin infrastructure company Bridge. By integrating Privy with Bridge, Stripe is accelerating its layout of stablecoin and crypto payment infrastructure. Privy will continue to operate as an independent product, with the transaction expected to be completed within weeks.
