#CryptoRoundTableRemarks 📣 Should DeFi developers be treated as open-source programmers or as financial intermediaries?

🗽 In the latest SEC roundtable, experts agreed that regulation should focus on activities, not on the code. If a developer simply publishes software without participating in the business operation, they deserve legal protection. But if they coordinate, charge fees, or manage the protocol, they must be held accountable as an intermediary.

🗣️ Additionally, an "innovation exemption" was proposed to experiment with products without legal risk.

🔍 Code-based finance requires new rules: clearer, fairer, and adapted to the decentralized environment.
