Bitwise Asset Management has made a significant impact in the financial industry by launching the Bitwise GME Options Income Strategy ETF (IGME). This is the first covered call ETF focused on GameStop (GME) stock, a bold move that combines GameStop's Bitcoin-oriented future with income-generating strategies.

The launch of IGME comes at a time when #gamestop is gaining attention with its $500 million Bitcoin treasury strategy. Bitwise shared on X: "GameStop is embracing Bitcoin; we have built an income-generating ETF designed to capture that hype and turn it into yield."

Under the leadership of Jeff Park, Head of Alpha Strategy at Bitwise, IGME is the latest addition to Bitwise's rapidly expanding options income ETF portfolio. This actively managed fund is designed to generate income through a covered call strategy while providing investors access to GameStop – a company that has transformed from a traditional retailer into a significant player in the digital asset space.

"IGME is the first covered call strategy built around GameStop, a stock with historical volatility and strong growth potential, very suitable for this method," Park said. "With IGME, investors now have access to an options income ETF fund based on a stock located at the intersection of retail investor popularity, a traditional revenue-generating business, and the adoption of digital assets."

GameStop recently revealed that it holds 4,710 Bitcoin, worth over $500 million at the time of purchase. This places GameStop on the growing list of public companies that are making Bitcoin a core component of their treasury. As of March 31, 2025, more than 79 public companies are holding a total of $57 billion in Bitcoin – an increase of 159% from the previous year, according to Bitcoin Asset Management.

IGME follows the launch of other options income ETFs from #Bitwise , including IMST (Strategy), ICOI (Coinbase), and IMRA (Marathon Digital Holdings). These ETFs aim to provide monthly income through integrated covered call strategies, utilizing options instead of holding stocks directly.

Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise, shared: "At Bitwise, our mission is to help investors access all emerging opportunities in the cryptocurrency space. We are excited to add IGME to our options income ETF product suite to help investors take advantage of the volatility of companies in this space."

IGME is expected to announce its first monthly distribution on July 24 and has an expense ratio of 0.98%. #anhbacong
