#TradingPairs101 – What Are Trading Pairs & Why Do They Matter?

If you’ve ever looked at a trading platform and seen things like BTC/USDT, EUR/USD, or ETH/BTC and thought “What does this even mean?” — this post is for you. 👇

🎯 What Is a Trading Pair?

A trading pair represents two assets you're trading against each other. The first asset is what you’re buying or selling, and the second is what you're using to pay or receive value.

📌 Example:

BTC/USDT → You’re trading Bitcoin against Tether (USDT).

If you buy, you're spending USDT to get BTC.

If you sell, you're giving BTC and receiving USDT.

💱 Types of Pairs

Fiat Pairs: EUR/USD, USD/JPY (common in forex)

Crypto-to-Fiat: BTC/USDT, ETH/USD
