can somebody explain with more experience/knowledge explain what's going on between Bitcoin (including ETH) and Alt coins.???

As when BTC goes down ALT coins jump like down so hard but when BTC-ETH are up and running ALT coins are Nah!!! bro i am good. some even sleep downwards ...what the heck is this???
