In the trading world, no one is born a professional, and no one walks this path without stumbling at their first steps. Mistakes are not the end of the road; they are an integral part of the journey. Perhaps mistakes are the first, truest, and most lasting teachers in the trader's memory.

I remember very well that first trade I executed with excessive confidence, after reading a couple of articles and watching a video or two about 'golden opportunities'. I had no plan, nor a true understanding of risk management. The result? A painful loss, but it was the real starting point.

From pain, insight is born

The first loss was shocking, but it woke me up. It pushed me to learn, to ask: why? And what should I have done? From here, the transformation began from merely being a 'try-er' to a trader seeking understanding, developing tools day by day.

With every mistake, I discovered a part of myself: a wheel here, greed there, overconfidence in analysis not based on fundamentals, or ignoring a clear technical signal. The problem was not in the market, but in the mirror of self.

The most important lessons I learned:

1. Don’t trade without a plan: the market does not forgive those who enter without a clear plan for capital management, setting goals, and determining risk levels.

2. Weak control over emotions is a sufficient reason for loss: greed, fear, false hope… all are deadly emotions if you don’t learn how to deal with them.

3. Loss is not failure: it is an opportunity to learn. The real failure is repeating the mistake without understanding its causes.

4. Record your trades: Writing down every transaction and reviewing the reasons for entry and exit is the only way to understand and improve your habits.

5. Learn then trade, not the other way around: don’t rush to enter the market just because you saw a green candle. Every step should be based on knowledge and analysis.

6. Remember: the market is here tomorrow: don’t risk everything you have today. Today's trading is training to be stronger tomorrow.

My advice to every new trader:

Start small, learn a lot, and don’t be ashamed of mistakes. No one reaches professionalism without making mistakes repeatedly. The important thing is not to surrender to despair or arrogance. Be a student of the market, not its prisoner. And always remember: the most successful traders are not those who have never made mistakes, but those who knew how to deal with mistakes and turn them into unforgettable lessons.

In conclusion, I say to everyone walking this path: do not fear stumbling, for every wrong step, if you reflect on it honestly, will lead you a step towards maturity… and perhaps towards success.
