🔒 The Cetus Protocol has resumed operation after the hack
The Cetus team reported the recovery of 85% to 99% of liquidity in the affected pools after the hack on May 22. Losses, estimated at $223 million, were covered by $7 million of their own reserves, a $30 million loan from the Sui Foundation, and $162 million in returned funds. The remainder will be compensated with CETUS tokens over the next 12 months.
Plans include additional audits, improvements to monitoring systems, and a transition to open-source software with a bounty program for security testing.
