⚠️Be careful, I received an email that looked official from Binance a while ago. It said something like there was suspicious activity on my account and that I needed to verify it urgently by clicking a button.
The email looked just like the ones Binance sends, the sender, everything seemed super legitimate. I felt a bit of panic, to be honest, because you never know. But just before I clicked, something made me doubt. I started thinking about everything Binance tells us about Web3 Security: never click on suspicious links, always verify the URL, and enable two-factor authentication (2FA), which fortunately I already had enabled!
So, instead of clicking like a crazy person, I opened Binance directly from the app on my phone. There was no alert about suspicious activity. I checked the email address that had written to me, and it wasn't Binance's official one!
It was a clear scam, a phishing attempt to steal my data and, surely, my cryptos. I almost fell for it! Thank goodness the security information that Binance always shares saved me.
Even if it seems urgent, always verify directly on the platform and be alert to anything strange. Security on platforms like Binance is essential to avoid a scare!
