The head of the Tether company, Paolo Ardoino, published a selection of photos from Bolivia on X, showing that in local stores, goods are sold with price tags in the stablecoin USDT.
According to him, this is a 'quiet revolution', where the 'digital dollar becomes part of everyday life, trade, and financial stability'.
In April, Ardoino referred to Tether as the 'exporter of the dollar' to places where the USA is weakly represented institutionally, particularly in African and Latin American countries.
