BlockBeats news, on June 9, according to The Block, last month, the number of active addresses in the NFT market OpenSea reached its highest level since mid-2023.

According to data from Dune Analytics, a total of 467,322 addresses completed one or more transactions on the OpenSea platform in May, a level close to the activity seen from mid-2022 to early 2023. As of now, the number of active user addresses in June has reached 236,091, expected to reach or even exceed the level of May.

Despite the rebound in user activity, OpenSea's monthly trading volume remains far below the levels seen during the NFT market boom in early 2021 and 2022. The total trading volume in May was $81 million, while January 2022 saw a single-month peak of over $5 billion.

This surge in active users may be related to the official launch of OS2 on May 29, and is also influenced by user expectations of potential incentives. During the testing phase, OS2 was only open to users holding Gemesis NFTs (a series issued by OpenSea in April 2023, totaling 94,757 pieces), primarily for testing new features.
