After defeating Spain on penalties following a thrilling 2-2 draw, Cristiano Ronaldo became the champion of the Nations League 2024-25 with the Portugal national team and lifted the third title with his country's jersey, bringing the 36th crown of his career to his trophy cabinet.
The 40-year-old footballer played five of the six matches in the group stage and scored six goals in the 2-1 against Croatia, the 2-1 against Scotland, the 3-1 against Poland, the subsequent 5-1 against the Poles (he scored a brace) and the goal in the shootout.
