#SouthKoreaCryptoPolicy President Lee supports cryptocurrencies for big money
Lee is expected to oversee significant changes to crypto policy in South Korea, including the likely passage of the Digital Asset Basic Act (DABA). The progress began under Yoon, who advocated for it but was unable to realize it due to his early dismissal.
Recently, the Democratic Party established a committee for digital assets led by Representative Min Byoung-dug, who aims to bring the DABA bill through the National Assembly this year. Min recently stated in an interview with local media that the bill will provide for a legally recognized self-regulatory authority, an approval system for stablecoins, and clearer rules for crypto service providers.
