PANews June 8 news, according to Decrypt reports, the U.S. Department of Justice has filed a civil forfeiture lawsuit to seize $7.74 million worth of cryptocurrency that North Korean IT workers allegedly laundered through fraudulent employment at U.S. and foreign companies. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, North Korean IT workers obtained jobs at U.S. cryptocurrency companies using false or fraudulent identities, were paid in stablecoins, then laundered the money through various means, and transferred the proceeds back to North Korea.
