When it comes to storing crypto, understanding the difference between hot and cold wallets is crucial for security.
š¹ Hot Wallets are connected to the internetālike mobile apps or exchange wallets. They're convenient for quick access and trading but more vulnerable to hacks and phishing attacks.
š¹ Cold Wallets are offline storage solutionsālike hardware wallets or paper wallets. They offer stronger protection from online threats, making them ideal for long-term holders.
Personally, I use a cold wallet for long-term storage and keep only a small portion in a hot wallet for daily trades. I also enable 2FA, avoid clicking unknown links, and regularly update my wallet software.
š”ļø Best practice: Never share your private keys and always double-check wallet addresses before sending funds.
