According to American Vox News, Musk's actions could indeed impact the Republican midterm elections, as more than 40 House representatives and 7 Senate seats are in play. If Musk concentrates financial resources on these districts and sends candidates, splitting the Republican votes, the Republican Party could lose control of the House and Senate after the midterm elections, leaving Trump as a lame-duck president.
