Have seen a bunch of ppl talking about how @monad_xyz has been taking too long to launch and losing hype.

I share this sentiment. When I heard about monad for the first time almost 2 years ago, it seemed revolutionary.

No doubt they are still building great tech, but we now we already have @soniclabs with a pretty strong EVM UX, @SeiNetwork that is scaling the EVM to ~200k TPS (with monad targeting 10k in a first step), @megaeth_labs nearing mainnet with 100k TPS at <10ms block time on L2, and Hyperliquid that processes 200k orders per second on HyperCore with HyperEVM (even tho less scalable) alongside it.

There is @rise_chain coming up, and even on the non-EVM side we have @fuel_network, which recently became the first real-time rollup on Ethereum, @solana and its network extensions continuously innovating, and the SVM has already made it onto Ethereum too in the form of @EclipseFND.

Monad is and remains an amazing blueprint of how to build hype and community, with the latter still being a differentiator, but having raised at billion dollar valuations already during infra season, I feel like this one could turn into quite a bit of a disappointment.

Remember @berachain?
