Earning coins is important, but keeping them safe is even more important.
In the Web3 world, asset security is the foundation of everything. A small oversight can lead to losing everything. Below are the security rules I personally practice 👇
🔐 Hot Wallet vs Cold Wallet, do you understand the difference?
Hot Wallet: Used online, convenient to operate, but high risk (easy to be hacked)
Cold Wallet: Stored offline, extremely secure, but not suitable for frequent trading
✅ My approach is:
Use a hot wallet for short-term trading, and a cold wallet for long-term storage of main assets. Combining the two is flexible and safe.
🛡️ This is how I protect my assets:
Never take screenshots, upload to the cloud, or take photos of wallet recovery phrases.
Write them down and store them in fireproof, waterproof, and distributed locations.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on all accounts.
Do not click on random links, do not connect to unknown DApps, do not participate in suspicious airdrops.
👨🏫 Safety advice for beginners:
Receiving an airdrop does not equal safety; check the smart contract before transferring.
Always assume “you will make mistakes,” so backups are essential.
Keep private keys and recovery phrases safe; you are always responsible for them. If lost, no one can help you recover them.
Earning coins relies on skills, while keeping coins relies on awareness.
If you want to walk the Web3 path for a long time, asset security must be a priority.
