The law on 'virtual assets' was adopted back in February 2022. Pomp, statements, promises — but the law does not work. Why? Because there are no amendments to the Tax Code that would give it life. And here’s the most interesting part:

The presidential administration officially returned the document with the phrase 'not the right time.'

It seems that at Bankova, they still confuse crypto with MMM, or someone just really doesn't want its legalization.

📜 What has been done, and what has been flushed down the toilet:

Law No. 3637 — exists, but is dead.

Bill No. 7150 — was supposed to regulate taxes on crypto (5% on profit, 1.5% military tax). It was sent for 'refinement' and disappeared.

MinDigit was dragging out legalization with the European MiCA — and Bankova again said: 'no, not now.'

The Ministry of Finance's initiative — stalled like an old Muscovite.

👊 So what the hell?

Because those at the top simply do not understand that crypto is not 'money for drug lords.'

But there is the influence of a large banking lobby that fears losing its monopoly.

And because today's shadow economy earns quite well on crypto. It is beneficial for it to remain in a semi-legal status.

⚠️ Consequences:

The crypto business is either fleeing or operating in the shadows.

People are afraid to declare their income because there is no legal framework.

Banks — block everything that smells like USDT.

The state — is losing billions that could go into the budget. Voluntarily.

💡 What should we do about this?

To the community — raise hell. Write to deputies, speak your mind publicly.

Crypto investors — document your income, prepare for taxation (someday).

To the authorities — either provide the rules of the game, or honestly say: 'we don't need crypto.'
