Wuhan police dismantle a scam den, suspected of inducing 'netizens' to recharge virtual currency on a fake platform

According to Ha Shilian news, the Wuhan East Lake police recently dismantled a scam den hidden in the countryside and arrested 32 criminal suspects, of which 20 were criminally detained. Interrogation revealed that this scam gang disguised themselves as 'rich beauties' and fabricated dating scripts, widely promoting the high returns of virtual currency investments, further inducing victims to invest on the fake platform they created. Even if victims were carefully guided to feel tempted and purchase virtual currency and begin investing on the fake platform, the returns they received were still manipulated by the scammers, and 'withdrawals' could not be successful at all. The case is currently under further processing.
