$USDC 1. What is USDC?
USDC (USD Coin) is a stablecoin created to maintain a fixed parity with the US dollar. It was launched in 2018 by the Centre Consortium, a collaboration between Circle and Coinbase.
🔒 1:1 parity with USD: For every USDC issued, there is one dollar (or an equivalent asset) held in a bank account or in US government securities.

2. Who issues USDC?
• Circle is the primary issuer and administrator of USDC.
• It is a regulated company in the US, periodically audited and in the process of becoming a full-reserve bank.
• Coinbase, the other founding member, uses USDC on its platform for transactions and staking.
