That last post? Maybe it went a bit far. Maybe stablecoins won’t take over overnight. Maybe you’ll still be able to book a room, buy coffee, and tip your barber without your phone suggesting “USDC.” And that’s fine. I’m not pushing any side. I’d still rather pay my barber in cash.

But the point stands. It’s not fear, just recognition.

Every transaction is a data point. Not just what or how much, but when, where, and why. And the smoother the experience, the easier it is to forget what’s being captured.

This isn’t some crypto conspiracy. It’s just infrastructure. Whether you pay with Visa, PayPal, or USDC, your decisions outline a profile. That profile gets packaged, predicted, sold.

You don’t have to fight it. But don’t pretend it’s neutral. Nothing about money ever was.
