According to a TechFlow news report on June 7th from ChosunBiz, Alpha Asset Management, managed by Korean star Jeon Ji-hyun's husband Choi Jun-hyuk, has suffered significant losses due to investments in the gaming company Wemade. Alpha invested a total of 35 billion Korean won in Wemade stocks in 2023 and 2024, and is now facing a cumulative paper loss of 15.8 billion Korean won due to a stock price drop of about 28%. This decline is related to the second delisting of the Wemix virtual currency from Korean exchanges, which previously lost about 9 billion Korean won in assets due to a hacker attack. Wemix is a virtual currency issued by Wemade through its subsidiary.
