#CryptoSecurity101 Airdrop Scams Are Evolving — Here’s How I Protect Myself

As an active participant in the crypto space, I’ve encountered more airdrop scams than I’d care to count. Many offer “free tokens,” but in reality, they’re trying to steal your seed phrase, drain your wallet, or lure you into connecting with a fake dApp.

If an airdrop asks for your private key, promises outrageous returns, or comes from a lookalike website — it’s an immediate red flag. One major scam in 2024 even impersonated a popular DEX, directing users to a phishing site. Unfortunately, many were tricked and lost their assets.

I always double-check airdrops via official sources, steer clear of unsolicited DMs, and never connect my wallet to unfamiliar platforms.

💡 Stay vigilant. Report suspicious airdrops and help keep the community safe.
