The great barrier to accessibility that TON Foundation and all teams developing on TON must overcome: language.

Our expectations.

Currently, the goal of TON Foundation is to attract 30% of active Telegram users to the TON blockchain by 2028. It is not an easy goal, not at all, because it requires different factors and three years seems like really little time.

First of all, TON must be ready. That not only means that the network can process transactions from millions and millions of users, which it can, but that the projects based on it can also support large numbers of users consistently.

Mass adoption will not only be achieved if the technology works incredibly well and keeps up over the years, but also if there is accessibility to attract and retain those users over time.

🚫 What would it be worth for TON to process more than 100,000 transactions per second if there are no simple mechanics and languages integrated natively?

Honestly, at @PlanetaTON we have seen an evolution over the years. Initially, there was only one wallet with Spanish integrated (👛@wallet), but now the most popular ones offer it as well.

We didn't even have a website in our language a few years ago, ton.org/es was only available in English and Russian. Now it has 10 integrated languages, including Spanish. The same goes for ton.app/es and the explorer tonviewer.com. More projects are realizing that accessibility is necessary.

But we still have 🚀@tapps, the catalog of mini-apps on Telegram, not following that trend. Currently, it is a reference site to find projects using the TON network, the true showcase of the union between Telegram and web3, but... they only offer English and Russian. The same goes for 💱fragment.com.
