SEC to Host "DeFi and the American Spirit" Roundtable on June 9
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will host a roundtable on June 9, titled “DeFi and the American Spirit,” to explore how decentralized finance (DeFi) aligns with American values and innovation.
Key SEC officials including Chair Paul S. Atkins and Commissioners Crenshaw, Uyeda, and Peirce will participate. Industry experts such as Jill Gunter (Espresso Systems), Omid Malekan (Columbia Business School), Michael Mosier (Arktouros PLLC), and Rebecca Rettig (Jito Labs) will also join the discussion.
The roundtable aims to bridge the gap between regulation and innovation in the fast-evolving DeFi space, reflecting the SEC’s ongoing efforts to engage with key stakeholders.
