What are trading pairs in cryptocurrencies? 🤝💱

In the crypto world, you have probably seen entries like: BTC/USDT, ETH/BTC, SOL/ETH... But what do they mean? 🤔 These are trading pairs, and now we will explain why they are so important! 👇

🔁 A trading pair is two assets between which you can exchange on an exchange.

📍 Example: in the pair BTC/USDT, you buy or sell BTC for USDT.

🧩 There are two main types of pairs:

1️⃣ Crypto-crypto pairs — for example, ETH/BTC

2️⃣ Crypto-fiat pairs — for example, BTC/USD, BTC/UAH

💡 Why is this necessary?

Trading pairs allow:

✅ To exchange without intermediaries

✅ To look for favorable rates

✅ To monitor the dynamics of specific asset ratios

📊 The most popular pairs have high liquidity and better trading conditions. If pairs are rare — there may be large spreads and low activity.

🎯 Before trading, always check what your coin is available with: not all tokens have pairs with fiat currencies.
