In brief
In cryptocurrency trading, a trading pair is simply two assets that can be exchanged for each other (e.g., BTC/USDT). Every trade you make uses a pair.
The pair consists of:
* Base Currency: the asset you are buying or selling (the first part of the pair, e.g., BTC in BTC/USDT).
* Quote Currency: the asset used to determine the price of the base currency (the second part of the pair, e.g., USDT in BTC/USDT).
How to read it: The price of BTC/USDT = 60,000 means that 1 Bitcoin equals 60,000 Tether.
