Today, Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump criticized billionaire Elon Musk, stating that he feels "disappointed" due to Musk's public opposition to the comprehensive tax and spending bill that lies at the heart of Trump's agenda, while Musk said, "Without me, the U.S. president would have lost the election."
Trump stated in a statement at the White House, "Elon and I have a great relationship... I don't know if we will remain that way anymore."
He added, "He has said the nicest things about me, and he hasn't said anything bad about me personally, except I'm sure that will come later. But I am very disappointed in Elon... I have helped him a lot."
Trump also confirmed that Musk launched a fierce attack on the bill due to the proposed elimination of tax exemptions for electric vehicle owners.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla, the electric car manufacturer, stated that he opposes the bill because it will increase the federal deficit.
