On June 5, 2025, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, together with the Ukrainian Startup Fund, announced the launch of the Sandbox project aimed at supporting startups in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain. The project provides Ukrainian companies with a unique opportunity to test their products for free, receive audits, consultations, and recommendations from experts on legal, business, and technical aspects.

A sandbox oriented towards startups that develop solutions for public administration, medicine, the agricultural sector, education, defense, and the digital economy. According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, there are over 2,600 startups in Ukraine, 18% of which appeared after the onset of the full-scale invasion. The project aims not only to support these initiatives but also to help the state form effective legislation that will take into account the needs of technology companies.
The Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that the sandbox will contribute to the development of Ukraine as an IT hub, as the country systematically creates conditions for innovation. Project participants will be able to enhance their products under the supervision of top experts, which will increase their investment attractiveness. At the same time, the state will gain access to innovative solutions that can be applied in the public sector.
