Escalation of the Musk and Trump scandal
The confrontation reached some unimaginable, epic proportions.
The recent solid oligarchic symbiosis, in which Musk did not leave the White House and was almost replacing Meloni in 'bed' with Trump, was broken as epically and loudly as it began.
World history has never seen such a dense and vivid contact between the richest entrepreneur on the planet and the president of the most powerful country in the world, but justly in reverse – there have never been such filthy disputes in the public space.
Musk's withdrawal was not instantaneous. The first visible break occurred in early April when Musk called the main ideologist of the White House's tariff and economic policy (Peter Navarro) 'dumb as a bag of bricks,' clearly hinting at Trump.
Musk, being a globalist, reacted extremely painfully to the tariff concept, as it directly interferes with his projects aimed at global expansion with cost redistribution along the value chain. Full-cycle production in the USA certainly did not suit Musk.
Since mid-April, Musk has significantly reduced face-to-face communications with Trump, and since early May, he minimized his presence in the White House, gradually distancing himself from DOGE, in other words, quietly and consistently fading away.
At the end of May, Elon completely withdrew from public service with intentions to concentrate efforts on commercial projects.
Since June, Musk has been on a roll. Practically every day Elon posted graphs of the exponentially growing national debt and budget deficit, criticizing the 'big and beautiful project' that implies not reducing the deficit but increasing it, at least beyond 0.5 trillion in the first years.
On June 5, the climax occurred (there were many similar tweets, so I'll summarize the turning points):
• Previously called the new bill (the very pride of Trump) 'vomit and disgusting filth.'
• Publicly disappointed in Trump's fictitious intentions to reduce the deficit and stabilize the national debt, where real actions (in Musk's opinion) lead strictly to the opposite effect, accusing all voters of betraying the interests of the USA.
• Retweeted and approved a public call for Trump's impeachment;
• Accused Trump of sexual perversions and pedophilia in the context of the Epstein case (a pimp for wealthy clients and the world's political and business elite for private parties with sexual orgies, including with minors);
• Conducted a survey with intentions to create a new political party in the USA for the middle class;
• Predicted an inevitable recession in the USA in the second half of 2025;
• Said that Trump owes his election victory to Musk, and without his help, he would never have won, nor would the Republicans;
• Promised to decommission his spacecraft Dragon (cargo multi-purpose spacecraft for delivering astronauts to the ISS and returning them to Earth).
Tesla lost over 150 billion in capitalization in one day – the strongest defeat in history in monetary terms and the maximum drop since September 20 in percentage. A productive day for Musk on social media.
At a press conference with Mercer, Trump stated that Musk's resentment may be related to the cancellation of electric vehicle incentives in the new bill and that Musk wanted to appoint his friend – a Democrat – as the head of NASA, but Trump did not allow this idea.
Later, Trump called Musk crazy and hinted that billions of dollars in subsidies and government contracts for Musk's projects could be canceled.
This has most significantly impacted Tesla's capitalization negatively.
If you can still sense some logic in Musk's endless retweets of the growing national debt, as well as the leak from the White House (not being able to puppeteer as he wanted and not pushing through subsidies using political leverage), the continuous hysteria over several hours looks completely insane, possibly under substances.
Why? There is no profit, and the risks for the business are high. With Trump, the concept of aggression and attacks doesn't work, but 'pouring flattering oil,' taking flattery to absurdity – works very well, and Musk, like no one else, understands this scheme (that's how he practically got into bed with Trump).
