Centralized Exchanges (CEX) vs. Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) is like choosing between a bank and a barter market.

🔹 CEX (like Binance, Coinbase):

Pros: Fast trades, deep liquidity, user-friendly interfaces, fiat support, customer service.

Cons: You don’t hold your keys (they do), potential for hacks, KYC is often required.

When I use it: For large trades, fast execution, fiat deposits, or when I want access to advanced features like futures or margin.

🔹 DEX (like Uniswap, PancakeSwap):

Pros: No KYC, full control of funds, permissionless access to a wide range of tokens.

Cons: Can be slower, limited liquidity for rare pairs, gas fees (especially on Ethereum), and more technical.

When I use it: For privacy, early access to new tokens, or when I want full control of my wallet and keys.

In short:

CEX for convenience and speed,

DEX for control and decentralization.

Know the difference, and use what fits your mission.
