Why are $BTC/USDT and $SOL/BTC two different universes? 🧠
You opened Binance, and before you are hundreds of trading pairs. But what do they even mean? And how to choose the right one?
🔁 What is a trading pair?
It is what you trade and what you exchange.
📌 Examples:
— $BTC/USDT = you buy BTC for USDT
— $SOL/BTC = you buy SOL for BTC
— $ETH/BNB = you buy ETH by giving BNB
⚠️ Newbie mistakes:
— "I bought $DOGE, but the balance didn't change!" (check what the pair is — maybe you bought DOGE for TUSD)
— "The price is different than on the chart!" (the chart is for $DOGE/USDT, but you are looking at $DOGE/TRY)
🎯 Tips:
— Use stable pairs if you are trading in $
— Use altcoin pairs if you want to grow in BTC or ETH
— Always look at liquidity and spread
