🇺🇸 The United States wants $7.7 million from cryptocurrency that was laundered in a conspiracy against a North Korean IT worker

The U.S. Department of Justice has moved to seize $7.74 million in cryptocurrency allegedly obtained by North Korean IT workers using fake identities and working at blockchain companies as remote contractors.

🦅 The funds were initially frozen in April 2023 as part of the indictment against Sim Hyun Sub, a banker residing in China who is alleged to have helped North Korean IT workers launder money.
