A Beginner’s Guide to Crypto Trading Pairs
---
🔁 What Is a Trading Pair?
A trading pair lets you trade one cryptocurrency for another.
It shows what asset you’re buying and what you’re using to pay.
> Example: ETH/USDT
You’re buying ETH and paying in USDT
---
🧠 How It Works
A trading pair is written as:
Base Asset / Quote Asset
Base Asset: The crypto you're buying or selling (e.g. ETH)
Quote Asset: The crypto you're trading against (e.g. USDT)
So:
ETH/USDT = Buy or sell ETH, priced in USDT
BTC/ETH = Buy or sell BTC, priced in ETH
