At this point, do you believe that Donald Trump will ultimately be regarded as the worst President in United States history?

For some time, there has been considerable debate over where Trump will rank among U.S. Presidents. Consistently, he has appeared near the very bottom of these rankings—typically surpassing only figures such as James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, and perhaps a few other historically unpopular leaders from the 19th century. I recall that following his first term, it was not uncommon for individuals to be ridiculed for suggesting he might be the worst President in American history.

However, given the trajectory of his first administration—and the deeply troubling start to his second—it becomes increasingly difficult to argue that he does not belong at the very bottom. While other Presidents have exhibited some of Trump's more damaging tendencies or flirted with similar ideas, none have taken them as far or wielded them as recklessly. At this stage, it is hard to identify any modern or historical President whose impact has been more detrimental.
