Elon Musk and Donald Trump's Friendship Turns Hostile
Once allies, Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump are now engaged in a public feud marked by serious accusations. The fallout began after Musk resigned from his advisory role without notifying Trump, later criticizing the President's tax cuts and spending policies.
Musk alleged that Trump’s name appears in files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the financier known for sex trafficking minors. He accused authorities of withholding these documents, saying, “Write it down, the truth will come out.”
Trump retaliated by expressing disappointment over Musk’s criticism and threatening to cancel Tesla’s government contracts. Musk fired back on X (formerly Twitter), claiming Trump would have lost the 2024 election without his support, and called Trump a “forgotten favor.”
Amid this, Trump claimed he dismissed Musk from his advisory role and accused him of drug use. Musk hinted at dropping a “huge bomb” and even polled his followers about launching a new political party.
He later called for Trump’s impeachment and endorsed JD Vance as a replacement. The ongoing dispute has led to a 14% drop in Tesla’s stock value.
