Circle Internet Group, the issuer of the stablecoin USDC, has launched its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker "CRCL" today, Thursday, June 5, 2025.
The shares were priced at $31 each, which is above the expected range, and 34 million shares were sold, raising approximately $1.05 billion for the company and some existing shareholders. The stock saw a significant rise on its first trading day.
This IPO by Circle is one of the largest public listings of a cryptocurrency-related company since Coinbase went public in 2021, and Circle had filed a confidential application for the IPO in early 2024.
