#TradingPairs101 A trading pair represents two assets exchanged between each other in a market. For example, in the pair BTC/USD, Bitcoin (BTC) is exchanged for the United States Dollar (USD). The first asset is the "base" currency, and the second is the "quoted" currency. When you trade, you are buying or selling the base currency in exchange for the quoted currency.
