PANews, June 5th, according to Cointelegraph, the Ukrainian National Police reported the arrest of a 35-year-old man, accusing him of hacking into over 5,000 client accounts of an international hosting company since 2018, using its servers to deploy virtual machines for cryptocurrency mining, causing the company losses of over 18.5 million hryvnias (approximately 4.4 million USD). Police seized computer equipment, wallets, and hacking tools at his residence. The man faces up to 15 years in prison and related industry bans, and the case is still under further investigation.
