Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonym of the enigmatic person or group of people who created bitcoin (XBTUSD), could be one of the richest in the world today thanks to the rally in prices that the most popular cryptocurrency in the world is experiencing.
In the midst of the regulatory support that the cryptocurrency ecosystem has received in the U.S., after the Senate unlocked the Genius Act, a proposal that seeks to establish a federal framework for the regulation of stablecoins, bitcoin has benefited and its price has climbed for the first time above US$110,000.
This Wednesday, the most popular cryptocurrency in the world is trading above US$105,000, registering a 3.50% decline in the last seven days, partially leveling out the gains it had accustomed the market to in recent days.
Arkham, an American company that allows users to analyze blockchain and cryptocurrency activity, estimates that the creator of bitcoin has the equivalent of 1,096 million $BTC in their portfolio.
With the current price of bitcoin, Arkham estimates that the fortune of Satoshi Nakamoto, about whose identity countless conjectures have arisen, is around US$115 billion.
Compared to the billionaires on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Satoshi Nakamoto would be richer than entrepreneurs like the Mexican Carlos Slim, who ranks 18th among the richest in the world, with a fortune of US$94.2 billion today.
